Fuji Film X100

Repost

It’s a beautiful camera. I took it our for some test shots a couple weeks ago and it is amazing! There are a couple reasons why I decided to buy the X100. It’s less bulky and much easier to carry around compared to the Canon T3i and other DSLR’s. It takes high quality images because of it’s 12.3 MP APS-C size sensor. It’s great for street photography and it doesn’t attract too much attention. Personally, it has satisfied my craving for a retro style digital camera. I can honestly say that this is by far the best compact camera I have used up to date. However, that does not mean that I will be throwing away my T3i anytime soon. I think these cameras serve different purposes and they appeal to two different types of consumers. But if you’re interested in picking one up for yourself, do the research, figure out the advantages of having a camera like this and if you don’t mind the amount of money you will drop then by all means enjoy this humble beast!

The only thing that probably annoys me about the camera is the focus speed. It’s not such a big deal because it does teach you to be more patient and to think before taking your shots. I guess i just have to remember that it’s not a DSLR. If you’re planning on using this for taking photos of high speed objects then don’t bother because this camera doesn’t handle well in that area.

But you know what after using it for a little over two weeks, I can say that the overall experience with this camera is great! This isn’t really a review because there are so many points that I missed and if you want a thorough review then find another blog. This is just my very small two cents and a small glimpse of what this camera is about. With all that said, I applaud Fujifilm for creating such a masterpiece that has struck my passion for photography once again.
